Mushrooms Historie

Mertens Mushrooms is part of the Mertens Groep - a company with its roots in professional horticulture.

The Mertens Groep currently comprises three departments:

Mertens Agro was set up in 1953 and is an important member of the Dutch market for such products as chemical and biological plant protection compounds, fertilizers, geomembranes, etc.  

In 1983 Groenselekt was founded to deal with wholesale trade of products in this same sector but targeted at individual gardeners and city parks departments.

Mertens Safety is the department dealing with work clothing, and hygiene products. Mertens Safety operates in many sectors: industry, construction, trade, transport, services, urban greenery, horticulture etc.
